Thanked: 1Help with D Miller and E Skeltons Celebrated Straights
Hi,
I've just got a couple of straight razors I bought on Fleabay they came in what looks like an original box for a pair.
They are both wedges or near and are quite early the first is a D Miller Fargate Sheffield. My research on here tells me that Miller moved from Fargate sometime in the1850s any further info to tie down the date would be appreciated.
The second is stamped "E. Skeltons Celebrated Razor Warrington" is has Tortiose Shell Scales. Ican't find any info on this one so any help appreciated but it looks of a similar age to the Miller

Thanked: 3164David Miller (D. Miller & Son) moved from Fargate to the Eldon Works in Eldon Street in 1852. They didn't stay there though - they were at the Premier Works in Wentworth Street in 1883.
Elijah Skelton was a cutler at 20 and 22 Buttermarket Street, Warrington, in 1871.
