I agree with Rezdog; go slow once you get your first set-up. I'd use one of the vendors that shows up on SRP to get a quality shave-ready razor, brush and stop, and then pick a decent soap or cream and buy one tub. As you learn it will make sense to try other soaps, other strops and other brushes (and definitely a second razor). However, I'd go slowly with both learning and buying extras. definitely stay away from hones for a while (maybe a long while).
