Thread: J. Nowill & sons in ivory?

Picked up matched set of J. Nowill & sons. I know nothing about them except they shave well. I'm fairly sure these scales are ivory. They don't have pores like bone, they are slim and almost glass smooth with saw marks an the insides. has sort of a wood grain appearance. tried a pin test it didn't sink but it did leave a small black mark you could wipe off . I know nothing about the manufacturer except they are an old Sheffield company. Here are some poorly taken pix( I gotta get a new camera someday!)
