Piedmont information?
ARUF (apologies right up front) if I missed the info somewhere. I've tried all the wikis and searchis to no avail (here and "out there" too).
Country of Origin for razors marked "PIEDMONT" is all I'm really after. I have a razor and box, no extra info on box. I like the razor as it's one of my heavier blades. I know there were hundreds/thousands of makers, but I'm surprised nobody knows nuthin' about this not-totally-uncommon brand. Does anybody know anything?
Thanks for thinkin' about it.Last edited by WadePatton; 12-11-2013 at 12:48 AM.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

... marked "PIEDMONT" on the tang. Nothing else, nowhere. "PIEDMONT" on box. Have seen others here and there, all marked same.
My guess is a store brand, not for export, budget-model. But that's complete speculation. (how facts are founded on innernets)
Here's mine, top.

I believe (this is a total guess by the way) that Piedmont might have been a brand under J. R. Torrey. I'm basing this off of the fact that the JR Torrey buildings address was on the corner of Piedmont. I don't remember seeing the city or country of manufacturing though, just my $0.02.. If this is correct, Piedmont could have been sold as a more affordable line of razors from the Torrey brand.

Thanks, somebody will eventually find a catalog or reference that ties it all in I reckon.
As for now, I think PIEDMONT was MILWARD's cousin.
