Thanked: 60Congrats, that's a nice looking razor! I really like the scales and that you have the matching box, too. Welcome to the forum and straight shaving! There's a ton of helpful info in here for when you run into issues. Good luck with your first shave!

Congratz! I am a newb too but I believe you will love SR shaving. Just don't get discouraged if your first shave isn't as good as you want it to be. Keep at it.

Thanked: 1184That's a great starter. Looks like your being wise so far.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Hi Seiko,
That looks to be a nice razor and the edge seems to have a slight smile, always to my liking. You said you were waiting to get it back....did you send it out to be honed, or maybe just waiting to receive it?
Not a lot of posts on the Amor, but here's a link from the search box at the top right of the page, an excellent way to find info in a hurry!! http://straightrazorpalace.com/googl...=1659j978401j4
Enjoy the forum, and let us know how your razor performs. As far as surviving the first shave, I'd rest easy.....as far as I know we haven't lost one yet, but if you're like me, I'd watch out around shave 100 when we usually start to get a little too confident.
You'll do fine!!
Best Regards,
