Thanked: 0Barber's delight
I found what looked like a decent razor (mind you I'm new at this) at an antique store and decided it was worth it even if it ends up just being a "display model" I show to friends interested in straight razor shaving. However, I want to know if you guys have heard of the brand. It has some minor discoloration on the blade, but if it's any good I'm thinking of sending it to Lynn to be sharpened. The only writing it has on it is "The Barbers Delight"

Thanked: 1There's a lot of glare in the picture, but it looks fine to me! I would definitely get that cleaned and honed.

Thanked: 3795His only post was the one to which you replied. If you look at the date of that lone post, you may get a sense of the odds of a reply.
I have honed similarly named razors and if I remember correctly they were just fine.
Maybe even a delight.

Thanked: 0Oh yeah, absolutely. I already got rid of the scales. Going to restore the blade, bring it back as much as possible. Looks like there will be some residual pitting, but after a good sanding, publishing and honing, I will make some new scales. I and not worried about keeping any "vintage" true'ism so to speak. This is just for me, the size is perfect for under my nose.
