Thanked: 0R. Burnett Straight Razor
TRecently I bought a very old straight razor. It was from R. Burnett 70 Leith Street Edinburgh. On the tang it says Warrented Hollow Ground Germany. Does anyone know anything about this company?
Any info or even where to buy more would be greatly appreciated.

Robert Burnett had a business at 70 Leith Street, Edinbrough, at the turn of the 20th century where. according to the Edinbrough Post Office Directory of 1899-1900, he sold watch material and cutlery. Burnett had razors made for him by some unknown German firm which stamped his company name and address on the merchandise. If Burnett's name is only on the case and not on the razor, it could easily be a mismatched set.

Thanked: 0Possibly. I have seen photos of other peoples R. Burnett Razors and the name is stamped into the side of the blade. This razor has had a lot of metal removed over the years.
