Default Just got my first W&B.

I got this razor off a website called "etsy," it's a website that primarily caters towards selling antique/ vintage items. It came supplied in its original box, but there's a hole in the bottom.

It's a 6/8 razor with a barber's notch and a half hollow blade. Shoulderless design.

The tang is marked with ""Wade and Butcher Sheffield, England" and the W&B logo. The edge has "gentleman's razor" etched into it's face. Any ideas as to how old it is?

There is some pitting on the spine and tang, but none is close to the edge. There is some significant hone wear, but I think that is to be expected in these very old razors.

Post 1891 due to the McKinley Tariff Act which required country of origin to be marked upon goods imported into the US.

Sometime between there and the 1920's I'd think.

Appears the blade has been buffed or heavily sanded. May just be the pic.

Should be a great shaver when properly honed.
