Thanked: 40I don't recognize it, but the presence of the Crown and the Germany makes me wonder if it is in the ERN family -- which has the Crown & Sword brand.

Thanked: 635I checked ERN logos and none have a crown and arrows. What does it say on the shank? Can't see it in the photo.

Thanked: 40I think that the brand of your razor is "Crown and Arrows" or "Crown and Arrow."
A thread from 2007 had a razor with the Crown and Arrows, but the reverse side did not say Esplanado Cutlery Co.
See http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...wn-arrows.html
Even more interesting, another thread uncovered an image of a "Crown and Arrow" wording and logo etched onto the blade.
See http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ht-razors.html
These two other razors lead me to believe that Crown and Arrow was a brand. It is still unclear who the manufacturer is behind the brand. It appears that the manufacturer was Solingen-based per the 2007 thread and image.
My guess is that Esplanado Cutlery Co. Germany was the importer or U.S. merchant that sold the Crown and Arrow(s) brand. It was not uncommon for the U.S. importer or merchant to imprint their name or logo on the opposite side of the shank.Last edited by Bordee; 01-26-2014 at 02:34 AM. Reason: fix links
