Size: 61.9 KBHello again dear purveyors of straight razor knowledge and lore. I come to you again with another unusual relic that I acquired from a gun show. This is a near wedge Corsan, Denton & Co as you can see in the photos and I believe the scales are buffalo horn with original pins. The pivot is a bit loose and there is some rust between the scales. I now know that it was made between 1850-1852. My question is about the etching on the blade. I wonder if this is a 160 year old etching and what that might mean as far as historical value? I dont know when etching became popular or if this might have been done at a much later date. Any help will be welcomed.
