Thanked: 3227Yea that razor fits in a narrow time slot for sure, he only made razors under his own name a few short years IIRC. The man himself has a very interesting life history, amazing really all considered. The razor is very Sheffield like and not surprising as he learned his trade there as a boy before immigrating to the US later in life. Sweet shaver too as a bonus.

Got to be! Mr. Turner was Shefffield trained and with Mr. Colishaw's money made a few, even before then!

Genco, woohoo!
Nice Jerry! I see you have some experience with Genco blades! I guess that's how you got my a Easy Aces so wicked sharp! (I use this razor as a benchmark to compare MY edges to!)

I am seriously getting addicted to straight razors and will be receiving my first early next week. I am already on the hunt for a Masonic SR to pass on to my son as an heirloom, and now have to hunt for these great looking American razors. I found one made in Boston close to my home town, but way too much money for me. I will eventually own a razor made in Mass, as well as some of the American beauties I've seen here !
drooling with envy, enjoy my friends!

As my good friend gssixgun has said some of the best edges come from the USA. And Little Valley New York. I have a Kinfolks blue steel that is smoother and stays sharp longer than any of my more expensive blades, I'm always on the lookout for American steel now. Great looking razors guys. Tc
