Thread: Grindworx SR

My wife got me a Damascus razor made by Grindworx for my birthday. I am just getting around to honing it and am curious if anyone knows anything about them.

Good luck with it is all I can say. Most quality Damascus razors sell for around 20x that price.

That is what i was thinking. I can't seems to find much about Grindworx beyond their website and that doesn't really say much. On the upside I really like knives so even if I can't shave with it I have a really cool looking display piece.

I hope I'm wrong but I think that you've got something that looks like a straight razor but will really be no more than a letter opener. It looks like the cheap Pakistan Damascus.

other than the obvious price difference, how can you tell the difference? Just curious.

The overall look of the razor and the fact that the blade geometry is off, besides we have seen this Pakistani junk Damascus way to many times
