    Default gillette straight razor?

    So we always talk about "king gillette" and how he single handedly changed shaving forever, but how did gillette get into razors? Was it just a guy who designed a new razor, was it a straight razor company that made a new product, or was it an all together different field for a company that made lets say ..dehydrated potatoes or something? Some body here must know.

    IIRC King Gillette never fooled with straight razors. Wiki article/bio on him here.

    Thanks! So if wikipedia is accurate (the joke writes.itself there) it was option 1, just a guy with an idea who started into razors from the clear blue. At last an answer to another one of my a.d.d. thoughts
