Default Ever heard of this brand?

I bought a vintage razor on eBay, and I can not find any reference about the manufacturer. It's marked " HASCH & FITZAU LIVERPOOL" and the reverse side is marked " best german hallow ground". Does anyone know anything about it?

Just a guess, but often if you have Germany on one side of the tang and another country on the other, it indicates that it was made in Germany for someone else. The someone else is the Liverpool name, often hardware or barber supply companies. They have some benefits, they are more often than not good blades and they are also often cheap. The condition on that one is a tough guess because the pictures are kind of weird angles and that always makes me uncertain. It should clean up and shave well after a proper honing. I think you should check the classifieds here under member services to find someone to hone it. While you are there you can also look at the straights for sale. That is where the real bargains are.

Thank you for the information! Hopefully it turns out to be a good blade.
