Thanked: 0bone scaled bismark
I happened to be in my local cutlery store and while talking to the owner about his honing service, he showed me some new old stock dovos he had found in the stock room. They had been left by his father. That's the back story.
In any case I spotted a Bismark with bone scales and he sold it to me for an insanely low price, stating that's the price my dad had on it and I don't sell them so take it or leave it. needless to say I bought the Bismark and 2 others. So my question is how can I date the Bismark I know Dovo doesn't use bone on them anymore but I don't know when they discontinued this model can anyone help.
thnx emef

A photo of the tang stamps, or at least the text on front and back would be helpful in giving an approximate date. A photo of the razors overall would be enjoyable as well. We like to see razors.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Lovely razors. I can't help you with a date but if he has more, at a reasonable price, I'd be paying another visit.

Thanked: 0He has a few more of different price levels
apparently there exists a problem with customs in getting more so he's decided to sell off his stock and not replenish it. the prices reflect what the cost was 5 years ago. And I do plan a return visit as I frequent his store. ( I like sharp objects)
