J Cochrane of Glasgow, in bone
Here's an interesting little find and fairly quick restore project, as well as some information for a company I knew little about... To be honest, I still know little about the manufacturer of the blade. I initially suspected a Kropp, since they supplied this company - but I feel as if the blade has too much 'attitude' to be a Kropp. No offence to the Kropps, which are excellent shavers, but they do tend to have the same standard look...
J. COCHRANE
66 Gordon Street, Glasgow
ca. 1893 – 1894
Hairdresser; sold Kropp razors made expressly for J. Cochrane.
The initial find, without scales, looking lost and far from home...
Housed in cozy old bone...

Nice find! As far as I can tell from the pics, it came out pretty good.
