We need more quality straight razor manufacturers to take a load off Dovo and TI.

What do you think about Hart Steel razors? I have heard that they are pretty good. I think they have a good bit of them in stock at Classic Shaving

I have heard great things about them and I have honed a few, they take a nice edge and feel nice in the hand.
The great thing about them is that they are all sold shave ready which is not something the larger manufacturers can do as consistently.

I have 3 Hart Razors and I do like them. But I did have to hone all 3 to my liking. They are no where near as shave ready as you would get from Lynn.

Thesuperiorshave.com has some cool razors right now and he updates what he has in stock so you dont really have to worry about getting an email after about OOS.

I've got a few as well....

As mentioned, there is a world wide shortage of the new production razors, I've been told there is a two year back order on many blades, and I was told this 10 months ago.

As mentioned, the Classifieds here are your best bet for a quality shave ready blade, and for a beginner, that is the best place to start.

Also, in my opinion, I'd take a vintage blade over a new production blade hands down, every time!

If you don't mind ordering from Germany, Rasiermesser

I am VERY happy with my two Revisors. And you won't find stock issues buying directly from them.

I love my Hart - it's perhaps my favorite razor out of my quite large collection of new and old blades. Easy to hone and takes a great edge that lasts for months. I also like the screw type pivot point that can be tightened to your liking with a simple allen wrench.

Agreed OCDshaver - I'd pick Revisor in a flash...IMO, I'd consider them the best of the current production blades, I have one and it's superb!
