    Default J.R. Torrey "Our 136"

I just got this razor today when I went to one of my favorite antique stores. I don't own any other Torrey razors, but I am excited to have found this one. The condition is amazing and I got a great deal I think. There is little to no staining and it looks as though it was never honed. Who has experience with this model? Good shaver?

I couldn't believe it. It's hard to imagine that others might have seen it and passed on it. I paid $24

I think you got an incredible deal.

However, I favor moldy, crumbly, taped together boxes.

I have a couple of those. They are excellent shavers, but then again I have never encountered a Torrey that was anything else. You found a good one and you will like it even more when you shave with it!

+1...I own several Torrey's. I particularly like the shoulder-less ones..They are all great shavers, and IMO the best of the American breed.

    Good score!
