Thanked: 4Is this still considered wet-shaving?
Hello all,
Been shaving back and forth with my DE (Wilkinson Sword Classic) and my Proglide. And one thing I have noticed, I'm not able to go ATG with my DE because I get a plucking and tearing sensation, with way too many cuts. With my Proglide or Mach 3 going ATG is butter smooth. I think the angle I'm using is still not right with the DE. Does anyone know why this is happening?
One last thing, is it still considered wet shaving using a badger hair brush with soap and a cartridge razor?

I don't have much experience with DEs, I'll leave that to someone else.
As for your other question, yes, this is considered wet shaving! Electric razor is dry shaving, unless it's one of those fancy water resistant ones you can use in the shower.I want a lather whip

If you're getting "plucking", it sounds like a pressure issue. Use just enough pressure to sweep off the lather. Also, if you have not made enough beard reduction prior to ATG, there will be the "plucking" that you speak of.
