Thanked: 18Significance of Dovo Models?
All,
Talk me through Dovo. Are there real differences between models? Or does it basically come down to choice of scale, quantity of bling, and what's goldwashed onto the blade?

I started with a Dovo Best Quality 5/8 round tip, 1/2 hollow ground. I love the darn thing, its as plain as you get, but it's a titan of a blade. I beat the crap out of it, waged chemical warfare on it, yet it got freshly honed awhile ago, and I took it on a trip, and it's simply a fantastic blade.
Also have the Bismarck, looks great, lots of bling as you say, 6/8, good shaver, nothing wrong with a nice looking razor if that's your preference...all the info you need is right on the forum, just have to search it out, Dovo is a pretty standard quality blade with lots of different models, I know there's some issues aroung the B Lowe model, and some interesting discussion about the Mammoth model IIRC, but it's all here in numerous threads, just use the search function and you'll have enough reading to take you into next year!
Cheers!
