    Default Good deal or Fail

Hello everyone I bought this guy recently, its my first razor so not sure if it's a good buy or not?
It is marked-Solingen-extra hollow ground, it has a bone handle. The blade is marked Hamburg Ring
    Would really appreciate your thoughts.

    Thanks in advance.

It looks fine...I bet the scales are celluloid though.
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

Hamburg ring are suppose to be good razors. Looks like a good hone and you will have a good shaver. Good luck.

    Thanks again.

It was claimed to be bone scales so if I'm not happy I can always return.

Looks like it should clean up fine. The celluliod scales will serve you fine, I wouldn't feel you need to return it unless you feel you were unfairly charged based upon them actually being bone.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

What does extra hollow grind mean? Is it different to full hollow grind?

I think you did okay providing you didn't pay for ivory. Get it honed right and enjoy.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
