Thanked: 49Wow Phrank I guess I did luck out. It does have a very slight nick in the blade but it seems pretty minor.

Thanked: 49Alright, I am pretty well convinced. I can use some of the money I would have spent on equipment I don't have any experience with to have them professionally honed. I looked at about 20 razors today and these had the best blades as far as I could tell. it also helped that I knew the names but I had only heard of dubl ducks after joining SRP. Thanks for all the kind comments and encouragement.

I have to echo what others have said, send them to someone who knows what they're doing. You have two great razors there.

You have a good source. What manufacturer is that (the straight)? Has a nice shaped barbers notch.
On the down side, it has a frown (not good, but can be fixed up by someone who knows what they're doing) and scales look to be plastic rather than horn (although I could be wrong). Still a decent find I'd say, pending manufacturer name...
