They can be difficult to source, but keep your eyes open. I'm going to an auction next month.
They last a lot better (another 100 years?) when polished and honed and oiled up in a loving environment.

The Rattler Sang today!
Sounded like a Snapper mower hitting a sprinkler head mostly.
Neighbors complained, dogs howled, birds left the nearby trees! Rattler INDEED-about like dragging a dixie cup over 80 grit. I mean, red solo cup.
it was funawesome!
But the edge went flat before the shave was over, so i'm going back down the hone-a-long trail. Back to 4k. This is what can happen when you skip 8k shave testing and don't have a good 4k test.Last edited by WadePatton; 03-20-2014 at 06:34 AM.
