Thanked: 1Voss cutlery?
I just received a beautiful razor as a gift and I searched for them and didn't find much about them. Its a Voss cutlery Co. German design. It also came with was appears to be a cork strop.

As the old saying goes, " A picture or it didn't happen."
All I know of Voss is that name was stamped on Hen & Rooster pocket knives way back when. I believe it was before C. Bertram was stamped and I know it was before Gutmann. Referring only to Hen & Rooster knives. I'm betting if the Voss name is on it the razor is of high quality. Not sure but they may have been an importer rather than a manufacturer. Going by the pocket knife stampings.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Well, if its the one in great bolo's picture then I am afraid that it won't do you much good in shaving. See the problem with Hen and Rooster is that while they used to be a great company they were bought by frost cutlery which...well lets just say they don't live up to the reputation.

The Voss cutlery I am referring to is from 50 + years ago and more. Vintage razors and knives. If it is a newly manufactured razor, with the Voss name, I don't know whether it will be of the same quality of the old ones. Might be though, all you can do is try it.
