Default I'm brand new to SRP and I have a question.

Hello SRP forum from sunny Cumbria, Northern England.

I've haven't been using a straight razor for very long and currently shave with a TI Dreadnaught 7/8, Bartmann 7/8, Vintage Wade & Butcher Special 5/8 and a 13/16” Bengal extra hollow ground straight razor. I'm really enjoying the shaving experience and trying out different blades and that leads to my question. I have purchased a Japanese straight as part of a job lot and I'm clueless to what make it is.

    Can you help?

I don't know the brand either, but that razor is a beauty! What a nice find, that should serve you well.

I'm not 100% sure but it looks exactly like my Eiko. The markings on yours and mine are different but it looks damn near the same. It's an awesome razor that takes and edge that is frighteningly sharp. You did well! Be happy about that one.

Frighteningly similar! Many thanks for this.

Sorry no idea but very envious. Looks like you've already got a great set up. Welcome to SRP

Hi Steve, it's Jamie from over on the shaving room I told you to ask over here, I'm sure Seth or Stefan will give you a answer and have an idea what the Kanji mark is.

    Welcome to the Rad-aholics.

I'm unsure of the razor, but it looks very nice. And most japanese razors have a reputation for being very good.

I am just guessing here but I am pretty sure he is not just starting out. I think he is just new to this forum.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
