If Bill lists it as seldom used, you can be sure it's true. So you're getting it shave-ready (usually an extra charge) for a couple of tens under the listing price. Definitely a good deal.

Thanked: 4942Mom always said that if you couldn't say anything nice about someone, don't say anything at all.

I admire that....
as a Newb here I never would have known about the issue (tho I have heard about issues similar on other boards) if not for this thread and being curious I investigated before getting involved.
Normally I never read the non board related forums.
I just want to say after reading if more people had followed that advice things might be different know...

I must clarify myself here.
From reading many of bills posts I recognize a slightly ill tempered man with more than his share of grit. A man who isn't afraid to speak his mind and isn't afraid of his own shadow. A man who you could disagree with all day long but at the end of the day you knew you could depend on him because he is what he is. In short he is a man!
I've also read many of the posts from the other two " men " who suceeded in chasing him off and they rub me the wrong way. Know it alls. Pleasant enough on the surface, but I get the uneasy feeling that if I didn't keep my eye on them that they just might slit me from stem to stern.
It saddens me deeply that men like Bill are rapidly being replaced in this world by "men" such as I have described.
With my deepest sympathies,
Mark Avery

Since you decided to start digging for old skeletons, I feel the need to clarify a few things..
1) Bill wasn't chased off the forum. Nobody was threatening him in any way, shape or form. He decided to leave.
2) Your uneasy feelings about people you have never met are coming very close to being personal attacks.
3) Just because a person elects to speak in a civilized manner, using rational arguments, without going psycho, doesn't mean that the person is taking his figurative knife to the Norton and waiting for an opportunity to slit Mark Avery from stem to stern.
4) Everything I do or say here is to serve the community.
In any case, this issue is supposed to be closed. If you're still inclined to open up old cans of worms, I'd be glad to accomodate you via Private Messages, not out of any desire to justify myself to a person like yourself, but not to distract from the real reason we're all here -- straight razors and shaving -- with pointless arguing.

Could this topic please be left alone? I think the original discussion was harmful enough as iti.
