Default anyone heard of elk cutlery from solingen germany

I've looked at a razor from this manufacturer but it isn't on the list from SRP. Anyone had any experience with them?

    new or used?

There are approximately 21,297 mfgs that made or branded razors back in the day, feel lucky any time you can find any information on many of the old marks.

And about half a dozen are making new, not counting the RRO's or the great custom work. I don't know about the new stuff, i'm not "in the market". Love the vintage blades.

I've had 3 or 4 Elk razors. I think they all had covered tangs from memory. Very nice shaving razors.

It is a old blade. The stamp on the tang reads elk cutlery then under that so linger Germany. I've read that some razors were just assembled there and some have good steel from there. Just wanted anyone's experiance with them.
