Default Purchasing advice on a few Böker blades

I'm watching a few eBay auctions, and I'd like to petition for a little advice.

Are any of these fakes or items that should otherwise be avoided such as anyone can tell? The opening prices make me wonder, but eBay has enough people who don't conduct solid research before making sales.

Thanks for any help, all. I'm looking for a decent replacement for my Gold Dollah - haha

    1. Looks pretty good to my eyes, except for the slight nick in the edge right at the heel. That should hone out okay and make a good shaver.

    2. There's a slight frown in the edge of this one... it may or may not be able to be straightened out well enough. I'd wait for one of the more experienced honing folks on this one.

3.Can't really see enough detail on this one to be absolutely sure... there may be a slight frown in it as well. I'd ask the seller for more pics with better quality.

4.Again, slight frown, but that one should be workable in the hands of a skilled honemeister. I definitely like this one though.

All in all, I'd say #1 and #4 are your safest bet.

    Good Luck!!

#4 is my favorite of that group. I'd also be open to picking up a good quality blade and just making my own scales - I have some lengths of wenge and purple heart that would make some gorgeous scales.
