Looking for information on Wade & Butcher razor
Looking for some information on this W&B with a crown on the tang I've got, found some information that it may have been made just before Wade and Butcher closed it's business, so this razor would have been around the time of Queen Victoria, but it also looks like some older razors so can't pin this one down.
Anyone have some info on this razor, would be appreciated, thanks.

I know it doesn't look like it from the pictures, but there's actually a decent chance that is actually 7/8. A lot of razors in the 1820's were extra long.
It's a shame about the hone wear, but it'll probably take an edge just fine.
When you've got it in hand, please get better pictures of it (before it's been restored). I'm really curious about the blade finish and the pinning on the scales, and I can't tell from those pictures if it's been modified or not.-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.

Oh, I'd seen the auction pictures. I was considering bidding, but I've got a new camera to save for.
I think it's probably been disassembled and repinned (somewhat badly). From the auction pictures, the pins at the point of the scales look original, while the pivot look like they're just roughly peened-over brass stock.-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.
