    Default Todays haul

So today the wife an I braved a gaint community fundraising garage sale that is run by the couties Kiminas (SP?) groups. This place is a madhouse.... but we needed to get out of the house even if we had to haul around two year old twins. So after digging for kid clothes, buying cheap cookware to make soap with, and bouncing a 40 pound kid on my shoulder I find the collectibles section and score these.

Bottom left is an ERN that might be good for a give away to a co-worker who in interested in wet shaving (after clean and hone). Bottom right is a Worchester Razor, middle blade was tossed in my project pile for when I can made a decent set of scales (which is getting bigger....). Top one is what got me excited. Looks to be a W&B with its original box, in MOP scales and NO hone wear. Little bit of light rust, but looking good so far...

So... there is chink of MOP missing on the back side. Decided I didn't care and snagged it anyway. Going to find someone who has worked with MOP before and have them restore this old gal. I think she will clean up damn fine and be a keeper.

and just because I can, here is a pic of my kids when they are behaving (they love hamming it up for the camera)

    Nice haul.
The 3rd pic had me worried that the edge might be swiss cheese...
Hopefully that will just hone out nicely for you!
    Good score though!
I LOVE finding razors in the wild!

That last set is nice. a matched pair, and look like fairly recent models. They should keep you out of trouble for a while.

That's great that the original box was with it. That adds a lot to it for me.

Got me with that one for a second!!! Was like, "matched pair", I didn't see those razors! Doh! Instead, two great looking kids with smiles on their faces...it doesn't get any better!!

    Congrats MattCB...you're living the dream!!

I looked for one of those pearl scaled W&Bs for a decade before I finally got one. Either it was out of my price range or the scales were damaged on one side, the other, or both. FInally picked one up in real nice shape for a reasonable price. The pivot on mine is a bit loose but I ain't going near it with a hammer. Great haul and some handsome youngsters you have there.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
