Thanked: 0I need info
Can anyone help me?? I bought a straight a couple of days ago and I can't find anything out about it. On one side it has BLACK DEAMON on the other GERMAN GRIND. I'll get some pics up in a bit. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I've looked on Taylor1000.com witch by the way is an awsome site for manufacturer's and datesand I've been to Uniclectica.com another awesome site. But I just can't find anything!!! So if anyone can help that would be grand. I don't care if its good news or bad as long as I find out something. Thanks y'all.

Thanked: 433There were lots of German razors, some were house brands or barber supply house brands. I've never seen this brand before, hopefully someone else will know more than me about this brand. It looks like it will clean up and hone very well

Thanked: 0Thank you!! It was in worse condition. It had small nicks in the blade all the way across. I fingered I'd put my honing skills to the test and see what I could do. It's alot better but not shave ready yet.

Thanked: 433As long as there isn't any pitting along the bevel it should hone up very well.

Thanked: 433The bevel would be the shaving edge and pitting would be rust on the cutting edge. The metal on the edge is very thin on a hollow ground razor and any pitting there can lead to a swiss cheese edge that isn't stable and will likely crumble. With an edge like that you have to hone past all of that to get to fresh steel
