Thread: Wow! How unusual is this?

This is probably one of the few times where an ebay seller who described their razor as "rare" is actually true.

Would be interested in trying it, if I had the funds.

I wonder about balance on it though, it would probably make the Wapi feel like perfection in comparison..

Especially since there's no tail to hold onto.

Yes its a butterfly razor actually its Papillion french for buterfly.

I've seen the double handle two-side blade type before but never these. Cool stuff on that link.

The papillons come up quite regularly internationally if you keep your eyes open.

Mark has one of these aka MyCarver in ivory. He may have some information on them.

I wonder if you may cut yourself while holding one in the scales?
