    Hello,
    My hart steel blade has some surface rust, any tips or tricks or removing it myself?

    Do you have a pic?

    I'd say steel polish on a q-tip. Make sure not to hit the edge, as steel polish will readily dull it. Good luck!

    That is one way, if that doesn't get it you can take 0000 steel wool with a lubricant, such as Break Free, and lightly go over the area. One way or the other will probably leave some difference in the surface from the satin finish it had, but those are the only options I know of beyond sanding/buffing.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    They make a scratch pen for watchmakers which is a precision tool with a range of materials that is used for removing rust and old finish. if carefully used it can take off rust in hard to get to areas and leave the finish intact. Watch supply outfits sell them.
