Joseph Rodgers From local ad!
Just browsing the local free ad newspaper and saw an ad for a Joseph Rodgers cut throat for £7 ($12) no other information was given.
So I sent a message to the lady who posted the add.
She sent me this image.... I nearly had a heart attack! Payment has been sent and she's posting it over
I'm a very happy bunny atm, I think it's one of the 1970's wedge models. Will know for sure in a few days!

It looks like it has never been used. I wonder if she had to break the seal to take the picture!!!

It looks to be in very nice condition. Great score. I'd say it's a fair bit older than the 1970'S.

I just took delivery of this razor pictures to come..
It's NOS. Never seen a stone, minty. And stamped no6 Norfolk street. That means it's at the latest 1929 when they sold that property....
I'm actually shaking right now.
The blade stamp is " Universally approved fine india steel"
The tang stamp is
Joseph Rodgers and sons
Cutlers to their majesties
No 6 Norfolk street
Sheffield

THAT is one sweety of a razor. Nice find! The bevel on the spine is unlike any I've seen previously.
