Default The little injun that could.

So... I got my Boker Red Injun in today. I was so very excited to open it up for the first time ever. It was interesting to see how these old razor came new. It was not quite shave ready, but it was pretty close, so a bit of work on the pasted paddle and she was splitting my finest hairs like nobody's business. Stropped her up and hit the shower, which was nice in its own right. Did a little prep and went at it. I have only one think to say.

    BEST SHAVE EVER!

Now I understand why Bokers are so well loved. This little 5/8 is so light and well balanced that it was a piece of cake to maneuver around my face, and it is by far my best shaver so far, with the Novelty in a close second. It cuts like butter. I am sure it could be sharper, as I am still developing my skill a bit, but it gave a clean and very comfortable shave. I think the fact that I spent a decent amount of time on the Chromium Oxide really helped. I love this razor, and it now sits in the number one spot. MY FACE FEELS GREAT!

I just "won" a Red injun from ebay. I hae no delusions of grandure that it will be sharp but am excited none the less. Do you happen to know the difference in the red injun #100 vs the #101's? I have seen posts for both.

    thanks,
    jocko

I am afraid I do not. Mine is a 101 though.

The number may refer to a distinguishing factor (could be gring, or size, maybe even handle material)

    DOVO uses:
100 - Best Quality full hollow carbon steel
101 - Best Quality half hollow carbon steel

41 - full hollow stainless steel (sizes 4/8, 5/8 - says INOX on the blade)
42 - full hollow stainless steel (sizes 2/8, 3/8, 4/8 - says INOX on the blade)
43 - half hollow stainless steel

2 - full hollow carbon steel (size 6/8)
3 - full hollow carbon steel (size 5/8)

there are probably a few more within their product range, but the take home message is that it's not a very big deal.

Yeah Mark, I really am pleased with this razor. I just can't get over how light and balanced it is. It is really easy to maneuver around my face and neck. Really amazing razors, these Bokers.
