8/8 Le Grelot straight razor
Hi friends
I have found and buy on internet a 8/8" straight razor by Le Grelot in very good condition, but the strange thing is that i have found nothing about 8/8"razors made by Le grelot (thiers)...it's possible?

Yes, an 8/8 Le Grelot would be very interesting to see...some pics would be great.

Is this a vintage piece, or a more recent one, made since Thiers-Issard took over the brand ? I don't recall seeing a Le Grelot with that large a blade but I don't see any reason to assume they didn't make them. As long as the stamping in the tang is proper, and perhaps if the scales are also marked with a logo, all the better. By all means we need to see a photo at least before we can draw any conclusion.

the seller assured me, more than once, that the width of the blade is 24mm"Consider well the seed that gave your birth: you were not made to lives as brutes, but to following virtue and knoweledge"

24mm is the normal size for a french 7/8, that's because of french "grandeur"

Thanked: 4249+1 for Jimmy's comments! Pierre Hospital and Cie registered the trademark Nostradamus in 1964, that is not a very common razor for sure.
