    Default my new acquisition!

    Hi guys

I received this gift from a local estate sale. After shining it up a bit, I discovered I now had a near NOS Genco "Henry's X" 5/8 round. The box reads "Henry's XX" and is in (mostly) fantastic condition.

The razor appears to have almost no bevel or spine wear, so I wonder if it isn't almost NOS. I'll be bringing it to work on for the PNW Yakima meet this weekend. I'm excited to get some thoughts from the SRP members in attendance (as well as here on the forums), as I hear Gencos are consistent in their quality?

I have some Gencos. All great shavers. Not flashy, but do great work. I'm from Western New York, which is why I started buying some. But they quickly became one of my favorite go to shavers. Good for you!

I think you are right. Looks like it was never used. Nice find.

I have one very similar to yours. All Genco's are great shavers.

Yup, that sucker looks cleeeean. Hard to tell from my crappy comp, but I'd say its very close to NOS. Looks like it hasn't seen a hone, ever. Nice score!

Thanks guys The blade does look a *lot* like the Carl Rader I posted recently, and that one had never seen a hone either (Prahston and I gave it the first honing last week Monday, in fact...shaves like a dream). I'm very interested in how this baby does once she's up to snuff.

    Many thanks, again
