Default Second Razor - Notch Point Half Hollow

Schatt Morgan Straight Razor Shave Ready Good Shaver | eBay

Just bought that. It caught my eye, hopefully it won't look too bad in person. It is supposed to come truly shave ready also, we'll see.

I read about the cutlery company, supposedly they made good stuff. I'm pretty excited.

I've got one and it's a fine razor. Mines a bit older than yours I think.

Got mine dirt cheap because nobody recognized that SxM stamp I think. Their top line of pocket knife was marked FILE and WIRE as well as the company name on the tangs. they made good stuff, but like a LOT of cutlery companies, they didn't make it through the depression.

The new S&M knives are good knives but they are a shadow of the former glory of the originals.

The guy you bought it from runs a shaving store, Imperial Shaving, so I would expect that it will be truly shave ready. He sells some nice stuff. I think you will be very happy.

Good to hear. I might buy a couple more from him then, he doesn't overcharge like a lot on ebay.

I have a red scaled wilbert I won, that I have to pay for still(from another vendor). With my columbia out being honed that makes 3 vintage straights to start my collection. I want to hit 6-7 then get an old barbers box for them and i'll be happy for a while.

I just wanted to get 6-7 too. Try some different style and sizes, find the sweet spot. Then there were a couple that look like great values. Then I thought maybe I should restore a few. Welcome to RAD!
