Thanked: 71Yes this one is sweet, I broke the factory celophane last night on it. It is NOS very nice tight and no defects that I can see. Just wish I knew for sure who made it, the only other reference that I could find stated that it might be a Carl Schlieper (stamp on tang like the Eye logo) but very nice either way.

Thanked: 4828The second razor is a good razor. It is made in an area known for good cutlery and I have never heard of anyone that made a poor quality razor with three pin scales. I don't know the brand either but think it is a score. How many more NOS razors did you come by?

Thanked: 714 counting the cheapie. A Carl Schlieper Double Eye #63, 5/8ths still in the paper and box, Carl Schlieper Korium #130 4/8ths in the wrap and box, and the Two Crocodiles in the factory celophane.

Thanked: 4828I don't know how familiar you are with the forum but if you go here Member Services - Straight Razor Place Classifieds you should be able to find someone to put a sweet edge on those.

From the hip I think it's a Pakistan or China imitation. The grinding looks pretty rough on the shoulder showing lack of attention to detail indicative to these 2 regions.

Thanked: 118The Flying Horse does look Chinese/Pakistani. Who knows hone it and see if it holds an edge. If not you could always frame it and hang it in the Shave Cave!
The 2 Crocs and 6 Stars definitely looks cleaner. More likely to be a Solingen blade.
I say hone them both and take them for a spin.

Thanked: 0I have been looking at straight razors on ebay and found a lot like the 2 crocs 6 stars that claim to be NOS. I find it somewhat suspicious that there are all these seeminly old razors that have never been used for sale. One or two perhaps, but many multiples of NOS coming out of asia? Seems a bit suspicious to me. Anyone have a similar opinion? Anyone have any experience with these? I'm new to the game and have little experience.

Might give that Solingen a good stropping and see where it's at. Might have a decent edge. Never know.
