Default These razors look realy old to me

and they are on there way in my direction as we speak, what do you guys think?

they were sold to me as a lot of 6 razors for the total price of < $30. He only made pictures of the 4 which to him looked to be in the best shape (still realy bad shape though). As soon as they arive I'll make decent pictures and try to decifer any text on them.

As for now I'm hoping that the absent tail is not just the handy work of a guy with a powertool

Since they appear to be wedges they will be much easier to clean up. I think you did well--as long you are looking for restorations!

    Hi Bram!
This is lot of old french razors, in me opinion from first half of nineteenth century.
Don`t worry, they were originally designed without tail.

Nice razors. But i dont think you have all four
Mine says on the tang Queyroul A PĂ©rigueux there is a treath about it (i cant copy the link on my phone. )

I got the one one the last pic. Imo the best of the four was my thought on that time.

Think they clean up very nicely and shaves very good.
Succes with them and show them when ready

KaleRolf, are you serious? I got them in the mail friday and one of them was missing, the third one in the picture, there was a different razor so I emailed the seller thinking he had made a simple mistake! haven't heard back from him though, but right now hearing from you it kind of makes sense.

this is pretty f*cked up of that seller, he didn't say anything about it on forehand, AND the replacement razor he send has a crack in the blade, if it wasn't for these two things I would be fine with it but this is just a bit shitty, not your fault of course but damm...

of the lot I did get this was the only one which had a readable name on it

    "BILLION-Jne A. LANGRES"

I hope this info is usefull enough for some information on it, a fransh barber razor, cool, don't know eny fransh though, any idear about the age? I guess the abscent tail in this case doesn't mean it old, right?

already sanded one and almost done setting the bevel on it. (seriously thinking of buying a chorsera 1K right now)

Oh its pretty old! Billion Jeune, from Langres, France, most entries for this company is from 1830 to 1860, like the advertisement below from 1850's. These no tail razors are fun to use and usually wonderful shavers.
