Thread: Nello Blades??? Seeking info

Evening all,

A couple weeks back, I was gifted a splendid blade by one of our fellow members during our PNW Meet (truly an awesome generous guy!). After returning from a week long camping retreat, I decided to do research about this piece in order to begin restoring this bad boy.

Turns out...I came up empty handed for info!! Even Google had nothing.

The blade is marked "Nello" on one side of the tang, with "No.5" on the reverse side. The left scale reads "Nello" as well. The blade is roughly 9/16" in pretty damn near full wedge, and boasts a sheepsfoot point similar to some Droescher models I've seen. Apologies for the photo quality (I'm certainly no photographer), but I hope it helps.

It should clean up real nice and will be my first wedge type blade. Any info on Nello, company, model and/or origins would be extremely helpful as I approach restoring it. Help a brother out??
