Looks a little similar to a feather razor, how does it shave and does it keep the blade secure are the important questions.

I'm up on deck to use it in about an hour or so. I will let you know what I think as for the holding in place part it's solid as a rock!

Nice, at least you know the holding mechanics are of good quality. You don't need the blade scooting around while ATG shaving your neck.

OK so...... I went against my better judgement and put a feather in and wow!! With my lack of experience with a shavette it looked like Freddy Kruger was in my bathroom!! As for what I did shave before I hacked myself to bits was very nice! So with more time and practice I'm sure it will be a breeze !!!

I tried the Shavette early on when I was thinking about going from DE to Straight. IMO it is harder to learn/master than either the "conventional" straight or the Feather/Kai/CJB.
It's just a different kind of sharp and no matter what you use the blade seems to flex in a way that for me was not helpful.

Every once and a while I think about pulling one out for a spin...and them I stop myself.

But you can learn and they do work, try something besides a Feather maybe.

    Good luck and smooth shaving.

Go back to your conventional straight and save that one for bar fights, lol.
