Awesome Aust for Father's Day
My Father’s day shave with my new benchmark for what an edge can be. There is a reason we shop at SRD. It may be different for all of us. Maybe it is service, quality, price, selection or maybe the edge that is delivered shave ready or beyond. My new 7/8 Ralf Aust is too perfect. I have a new goal when honing. This razor took out my chin hair as smoothly as if I was rubbing the spine on my face. It was like the stubborn, hard to shave hair on my face was deliberately getting out of the way of this expert chopper.

Indeed Ralf Aust is becoming (has become?) a definitive entity in the straight razor arena. And yes, you have to look long and hard to find a vendor who is as good as SRD. Great looking blade; I'm sure you will enjoy it.

They are great razors...
i have a 7/8 "American Point" that is a Goldylocks shaver - Not too hollow, not too heavy...just right.

I have the same 7/8 and it has great weight, balance, sound, aesthetics and is a great shaver. It is also great on the strop. Enjoy your lifetime of great shaves.
