antique shave gear

Greetings All:
I'm a recent convert to wet shaving and acquired my great grand father's shave gear. I was hoping someone on this forum could provide me some details about the age and background of these items
The brush is an Ever - Ready, very stiff bristles. Badger, Boar, any thoughts?
The razor has no markings. The only distinguishing feature is a carved design of a heron with a fish. I was wondering what the handle is made of, who the manufacture might be.
