    Default Anton Wingen Jr ORYX

This is the other razor I picked up, its hard to read but i can make out "101 ORYX" on one side of the blade, the other is MUCH HARDER to read.... here is what I can make out.... "Anton Wingen Jr Solingen - Germany" have to use a bright flashlight to make out the word Germany but it is there.

I've searched for days and not been able to find another one like it, only thing i can find is the anton wingen jr redpoints.
What do i have here, is it rare? is it worth sending it in to get it cleaned up?

It did come in a VERY beat up cardboard/leather box that i do not have with me, i will upload pictures of that when i have it.

According to STRAZORS.com - all about classic razors - Anton Wingen Jr., Solingen. Anton made razors for American companies.
I wonder if the scales are made from an oryx antelope horn???

It feels like the same material as the other razor I got, the scale or is it scales refers to the handle .. correct? http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...acharbeit.html

    The scales are the handle.
Somebody will probably come along and explain more about the razor.
Oryx might just be a cool name on the handle, like Dodge Ram or Ford Mustang - neither contain animal ram or horse parts.
