Default Faucet fixture.. NOOO, rookie mistake!!!

As I've gotten better with the straight, I've become quicker with things - stropping in particular. COULD NOT BELIEVE my error this morning. Put the straight under the water to rinse and brought it up right into the water faucet. SOOO... this will be going back to Lynn for honing. Thank GOD I have a 6/8 still. Rookie mistakes. It's easy to get over confident. I was more focused on the next part of my face that I was going to shave and glanced away while bringing the razor up. Noticed the same learning to strop - keep your eye on the ball.

4-folded damp face towel on the side of the sink. Strop the lather off. Faster, easier, more effective, and safer!

    Chip happens.

Be glad you didn't crack the blade.

I use a sponge instead but same idea. Chipping a blade happens but you are saved by your back up. That was good planning.

Good excuse for buying a backup to the backup.

I use a sponge too, but I installed this high rise faucet in case of mental lapse.

I just wipe the blade on my forearm, sort of like a mini stropping motion, then wash my forearm at the end of the shave.
