Default help with history of first straight razor

First straight razor! Bought it for 5 bucks. Imperial razor company. 1886-1945 is when they were in business. Anyone know any thing else? Love to find out what year it was made. Made in Germany. I know the company was bought out by camillus and then the blades said germany-new York. So I'm guessing maybe this maybe an older one? 20507 imperial razor on wiki is where I found that much info

Wasn't Imperial also the original mark used by Filarmonica? I think they also stamped it with an eagle. Not sure about the JMP signature though.

    1920-1930s. IMO.
they bought out camillus cutlery in 1901
Yes. But it's Imperial Razor Company. The razor was made by the Germania Cutlery Works in Solingen.

Awesome. I got it for 5 bucks so I can't complain. Blade looks great. Obvious wear but no chips. Never used a straight. I'm a DE guy but couldn't pass on this.
