That is an excellent idea. Use it to learn to shave with the straight razor. Before you go further, though, please study all information you can here on Straight Razor Place. Then ask questions and we all will try to guide you. Finally, you not only need to have your razor honed by a professional, but also need to have a quality strop, brush, soap or cream to start on the right foot. But one thing at a time: first comes the research, then the questions.

I don't see the tang stamp on your pictures. Usually the number on the tang is the year of production (Russian razors only, as I know).Alex Ts.
