Depends on what you call a chip. That pic will help.
If it's not too large I'd take it out by hand on a diamond plate or a low grit stone. Much less room for error. A power tool has no mercy if it grabs an edge.

That is TRUE! I should have stayed that. The way it sounded it was like it was a BIG chip.

Yeah, I agree, that was my first impression too, but thought I'd cover the more conservative approach just in case it's not too significant.
