    Default Gillette gold aristocrat

    Hey All,

Recently picked this razor up on ebay. How do you think I did? I emailed the seller for patent number on it and he said the only markings said Gillette and USA. Is that possible or did the seller just not know what I was asking?

    Yanks,
I don't exactly what you mean by "patent number." That looks to like the 1948, 1949 Gillette Aristocrat. It's a fabulous and beautiful razor. From what I can see from the photos, the razor appears to be in good shape. So yes, you did well in that respect.

Probably used the wrong term. Is it the serial number that is used to identify the year?
